Big Housing Boost!

Attention: open in a new window.  E-mail

Last week came the brilliant news that the Labour Housing Minister had allocated over £16 million for social housing in the East Riding.

This is the largest housing allocation in the country and enables the East Riding to spend £33 million on building 260 homes for 260 families in dire need.

All construction will be by local building firms which should help those firms and those workers who have been struggling during the recession.

Our Prospective Parliamentary candidate Ian Saunders will be pressing for some of those houses to be built in Beverley and Holderness

Some for instance could go up on the vast new Clariant development area in Beverley - again just given permission by the Labour Government
