Paul McGrath is Beverley Labour Party's choice to fight the By-Election on February 4th. He is a strong believer in fighting on local issues - This is his manifesto:

I am your local Labour candidate for the Town Council by election.

I believe in campaigning for local issues which affect local people.

Our Labour government is delivering for local people:

  • £20m for a brand new hospital – Opposed by the Tories
  • £20m for the Beverley Southern by-pass. Promised by the Tories for years - Now being delivered by Labour.
  • Record investment in our schools, affordable housing and the police

But we must do more. My priorities as a town councillor would be:

  • Salt bins to be provided by the Town Council. The current situation is appalling.
  • Youth shelters which allow young people to congregate without upsetting the neighbours
  • More support for Beverley Community Lift to provide people with improved transport to hospitals
  • Cleaner streets
